Follow the lush marsh as it changes shape from stream to mill ponds and back again, past beaver-chewed trees and human-made waterfalls. Hike through the towering white pine forest and along new trails leading to the Charles River Loop trail at Broadmoor for Mass Audubon's Hike-a-thon weekend.
We're challenging you to get outside and hike at least 1.25 miles the last weekend in November in celebration of our 125th anniversary of protecting the nature of Massachusetts. Ditch the crowds and enjoy the mental and physical benefits of hiking outdoors as you learn about the natural world from our expert guide.
Expect to walk over 2 miles and travel some uneven trails with a few steep inclines at a leisurely to moderate pace. Best suited for families with older children. For more details and other ways to enrich your hiking, visit massaudubon.org/hikeathon.
We will meet at the covered pavilion just out front of the Nature Center. Please dress for the weather and wear comfortable walking shoes.
