Why do some insect babies live in the water? We will search for some macroinvertebrates (insects you can see with your eyes) that live in different places at Broad Meadow Brook. We will learn their names, their life cycles, what special features let them live underwater, and why they are important for a healthy ecosystem.

Broad Meadow Brook's homeschool programs offer a friendly, cooperative learning environment for people of all ages! Our homeschool programs are designed for the homeschooling family. At the end of all programs, students will receive follow-up information and activities so the learning can continue at home.

Classes will be held outdoors except for extreme inclement weather. PLEASE NOTE: Due to COVID-19 safety protocols, advance registration is required. No walk ins allowed. Online registration closes 24 hours before program begins. Social distancing and wearing a mask or other face covering are required. Group size is limited.

At this time, due to COVID-19 regulations on group size, we are unable to accommodate accompanying family members unless they register and pay for the program.

Parents and non-participating siblings are always welcome to remain at the sanctuary.

Nature Adventures for 5-7 year olds meets at the same time.

We look forward to learning with you!
