From November 1 through December 30, 2025, Habitat Wildlife Sanctuary in Belmont will feature the vibrant photographic works of Joshua Touster. This series of prints offers a glimpse into all things coastal in New England’s northernmost state during the peak summer season.

About the Artist

Joshua Touster was born in New York City in 1954 and is currently a freelance photographer living in Watertown, MA. After receiving his BA from the Evergreen State College in 1976, Josh attended the Rhode Island School of Design and received his Master of Fine Arts in Photography in 1980. Touster has been a commercial photographer since 1981 and has had a wide range of clients that include Massachusetts General Hospital, Wentworth Institute of Technology, The Meadowbrook School, Wellesley College, The Fenn School, BB&N, Lahey Clinic, and Babson College. Joshua Touster has exhibited his work extensively both in the United States and abroad, and in 2010 he received an artist-residency at Yaddo in Saratoga Springs, NY. His books include Aftermath: The Boston Marathon Bombings (2016), Three Weeks in August: Photographs from Saratoga Racecourse (2014), and A Season on the Rox (2009).

Opening Reception

Celebrate the exhibition on Sunday, November 16 from 12:00-4:00 pm. Meet the artist, enjoy light refreshments, and explore the art. This event is free with admission.
