Felix Neck Wildlife Sanctuary is a place for everyone, protecting the habitats, wildlife, and spectacular views for which Martha’s Vineyard is renowned. Four miles of trails through woodlands, meadows, ponds, salt marsh, and along shorelines allow for exploration, discovery, and quiet contemplation. Read more >

Whether you’ve chanced across a hummingbird dipping their tail feathers or caught a glimpse of a Monarch fluttering by, we’ve all had those animal encounters on the Island that make us stop and ponder what else lives on this mystical island aside from ourselves.

Summer 2018 was an incredible season for the monitoring of our local shorebird, Osprey, and horseshoe crab populations—both in the numbers of these animals recorded as well as in the turnout of dedicated and eager volunteers who led the charge. 

Education and Camp Barn in fall

It was a historic year for Felix Neck Wildlife Sanctuary. Early 2017 brought the end of a very quick—and successful—fundraising campaign that enabled construction to start on the sanctuary’s first new building in 50 years.
