Felix Neck Fern & Feather Natural History Day Camp
Fern and Feather Natural History Day Camp on Martha’s Vineyard is designed to promote a child’s lasting curiosity and care for the natural world. Our goal is to nurture an understanding and appreciation for nature, inspire responsibility for the environment, and have fun!
Explore forest, field, marsh, pond, and seashore habitats at our 350-acre wildlife sanctuary this summer! Our camp program incorporates outdoor games, nature activities, hikes, stories, crafts, songs, and more for a one-of-a-kind summer experience.
Themed week-long sessions blend outdoor exploration, hands-on activities, games, songs, and crafts. Sessions are offered June–August.
Programs and age groups include:
- Discoverers (ages 4–5) (ages 4–5, half day)
- Pathfinders (grades k–1) (ages 5–6, full day)
- Explorers (entering grades 2–3) (ages 7–8)
- Adventurers (entering grades 4–5) (ages 9–10)
- Ecologists (entering grades 6–8) (ages 11–14)
- Leaders-in-Training (ages 14–16)
No two days are alike at camp, but this sample schedule gives an overview of daily activities and flow.
Our camp program is designed to connect children to their surroundings and instill a lifelong appreciation for the natural world. Our goal is to foster awareness and appreciation of nature, to teach responsibility for the environment, and to promote an understanding of our place in nature. Camp activities are carefully planned to meet these goals and create fun and memorable experiences.

Ages groups include: 4-year olds, 5–6-year olds, 7–8-year olds, and 9–10-year olds.
