Arcadia Nature Day Camp
Arcadia Nature Day Camp in Easthampton gives children ages 4–16 a chance to do what comes naturally—explore, have fun, and make friends! Campers can develop their interests in the outdoors, connect with nature, and have the freedom to play and gain confidence in the natural world.
Camp takes place at our 700-acre wildlife sanctuary, where fields, and vernal pools provide the perfect setting to investigate different ecological communities. Nature is revealed through hikes, games, songs, and crafts. Campers experience nature and create memories that last a lifetime.
One- and two-week sessions have campers exploring habitats, hiking trails, catching frogs, experimenting with science, canoeing, dabbling in art, and playing outdoor games. No two days are alike! Small group sizes ensure that our counselors can develop a relationship with every child, creating a caring, supportive environment.
Camp sessions include:
- Woolly Bears (ages 4–6, half-day)
- Hummingbirds (ages 4–6, full-day)
- Fireflies (ages 6–12)
- Kingfishers (ages 7–8)
- Great Blue Herons (ages 9–12)
- Nature Photography Camp (ages 10–16)
- Bird Camp (ages 12–16)
- Naturalists-in-Training (ages 14–18)
No two days are alike at camp, but this sample schedule gives an idea of daily activities and flow.
At our camp, discovery takes center stage. Campers are encouraged to explore and appreciate the miracles and mysteries of our natural world. Through hands-on learning, they come to understand their place in nature as well as the importance of preserving it.
Our staff is passionate about sharing the joy and excitement of the outdoors with children. Low counselor-to-camper ratios ensure that children stay safe and engaged with role models who are creative, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic. Year after year, we are proud to receive exceptional feedback from parents (and campers!).
