Family Fun at Arcadia
Spending time outdoors promotes healthy development for young minds and bodies. Unfortunately, children are spending less time outside than any generation before them. Connect your children to the great outdoors with these fun opportunities to explore, play, and learn together.
Go Wild at Arcadia’s Nature Play Area
Think of Mass Audubon’s signature Nature Play Areas as outdoor playgrounds made of natural materials that support self-directed adventures, creative building opportunities, and games. At Arcadia’s Nature Play Area, conveniently located outside of the Nature Center and a short walk from the parking lot, you’ll find:
- A fort made of black locust and grapevine branches to play in
- Everything you need to build a fairy home
- Opportunities to practice balance and coordination on the stump jump
- A grounded sunken rowboat where seafaring fantasies and adventures unfold
- Picnic tables shaded by large staghorn sumacs, perfect for snack time and watching the fun unfold.
Arcadia Nature Preschool
Arcadia’s Nature Preschool supports the developmental needs of children ages 3-5 in a supportive, outdoor environment.
Arcadia Nature Camp
Campers ages 5–15 spend their summers playing and learning outdoors, connecting with nature and new friends.
