Vernal Pools Series, Gr. 6-8

Open the door to experiential learning as students discover who lives in seasonal wetlands! Students will use dichotomous keys and field guides toidentify and learn about vernal pool animals and their amazing adaptations.. Students will gain experience collecting and recording data, while making connections to the important role of vernal pools in sustaining local biodiversity. This program pairs classroom visits with a field experience at Long Pasture Wildlife Sanctuary.

*This is a "specialty science program" that utilizes specialized Mass Audubon science staff and is priced differently than standard field trip programs.
