Vernal Pools Series, Gr 6-8

Discover who lives in a disappearing habitat! Students will use dichotomous keys and field guides to identify the creatures found in a vernal pool and learn about the adaptations they have to survive in such an ephemeral habitat. Students will gain experience collecting and recording data, while making connections to the important role of vernal pools in sustaining local biodiversity.
