Vernal Pool Series, Gr 9-12

Discover the fragile habitats that are crucial for the successful breeding of rare creatures on Cape Cod! Students will learn about the creation and conservation of vernal pools and the important role they play in the life history of the eastern spadefoot toad, a threatened species in Massachusetts. Students will join us in the field to assist in monitoring vernal pool species and gain experience conducting conservation research.
