Sustainable Systems: Farm & Nature
Energize your environmental science course by participating in sustainable practices to manage a working farm and wildlife sanctuary, helping with seasonal farm chores and invasive species management. Students visit livestock, crops, and wild areas to delve into energy flow, water movement on site, climate & human impacts, and carbon sinks & sources. Students gain appreciation for all that goes into raising animals and crops for market, managing healthy soil, and protecting habitats for a resilient climate.
