Maple Trees and Tastes
Visit the sugarbush or bring our sugaring process to school! Give your students the chance to use their senses to feel wood, to see leaves, and to smell and taste maple syrup. Students will act out the parts of a tree to learn about tree characteristics and how sap is made in the tree and explore the tools we use to collect maple sap and change it to maple syrup. This will run only during a 4-week window depending on weather and sap-run conditions.
