Explore patterns of change for the different communities in the temperate biome: fields, forest, and wetlands. Students identify how organisms relate with one another-predation, mutualism, competition, dependency, and parasitism-and revisit how organisms are adapted to their environment and how energy moves through trophic levels. Students explore nature directly and speak from evidence to support their findings, and come away with real world local examples of relationships and energy flow.
