Adaptations of Plants & Animals
Give your students the chance to explore the local environment to discover the amazing ways plants and animals use their unique adaptations to thrive. Students investigate animals, plants, or both to learn about behaviors to deal with changing seasons, structures to disperse seeds or defend against predators, or body parts to hunt from the sky. Consider including the option to explore the adaptations of livestock on the farmyard and captive wildlife. Students build observation skills and leave with a clear understanding of how adaptations work.
