Field Trip: Habitats & Adaptations
Enrich your science curriculum with a field trip to Arcadia Wildlife Sanctuary, where students will be immersed in an exploration of the diverse ecosystems of Massachusetts.
Through hands-on activities and trail exploration, your students will explore a variety of habitats including a forest, field, vernal pool, and river. Mass Audubon educators will guide students through trail activities that highlight the animals and plants that survive in these habitats, and the unique adaptations that help them thrive. Students will have the opportunity to investigate animals and plants using scientific equipment including binoculars, fielding nets, hand lenses, and bug boxes.
