Wildwood Camp: Teen Adventure Trip - Vermont's Long Trail
Description
Gear up for an adventure along the ridge of Vermont's Green Mountains on this inspiring trek. The Long Trail is the oldest long-distance hiking trail in the country and traverses some of Vermont's highest peaks, offering breathtaking vistas along the way. Guided by experienced trek leaders, teens will have the opportunity to learn and practice Leave No Trace camping skills and fortify their confidence to thrive in the backcountry.
This itinerary includes five days and four nights of backpacking. Participants can expect to carry an internal frame pack weighing 35-45 pounds while traveling up to eight miles per day over rough and steep terrain.
It is important to have proper hiking boots that have already been broken in.
Teen Adventure Trips focus on developing a love of the outdoors. Guided by experienced trek leaders, teens will have the opportunity to learn and practice Leave No Trace camping skills and fortify their confidence to thrive in the backcountry. Participants practice hands-on skills in conservation, and develop a knowledge of the region's natural history.
Join us for exploring the natural wonders of Vermont's famous footpath through the wilderness and make friendships that will last a lifetime.
