Stony Brook Nature Camp: Ramblers - Can You Dig it?
Description
Reveal hidden fossils, bones and stones. Create edible rocks. Unlock your inner archeologist. Delve into the dirt and find your own fossils to take home. Create pictures with crystals, take a look at cat's eye quartz, and groundhogs' teeth!
Ramblers conduct ecosystem investigations at Stony Brook. On daily outings, they use their senses to identify familiar species of plants and animals. Ramblers are encouraged to explore their own areas of interest and further develop their social skills as they participate in activities, games, and crafts.
Ramblers have a camper to counselor ratio of 7:1.
