Description
Migration brings a new cast of birds through The Mount's mix of habitats, and mornings are prime time to see and hear them. This beginner-friendly walk focuses on bird-finding tips, simple identification cues, and interpreting bird behavior. The grounds and trails of Edith Wharton's original estate offer great bird watching and scenic views of meadows and ponds for us to enjoy.
With an experienced naturalist, you'll look for species arriving, passing through, or staying year-round, and learn how migration works and why it matters. You'll also take away some practical ways to support birds during this critical season.
This program remains free of charge thanks to generous funding from The Mount and its supporters.
