Description
Join us the last Saturday of every month at Mass Audubon's Oak Knoll Wildlife Sanctuary for Woodward Discovery Days.
The Ottmar Nature Center will be open to all ages.
There will be encounters with several of our resident animal ambassadors including Carter the garter snake, Boxy the box turtle, and Spots the spotted salamander.
We'll have sensory-rich biofacts for patrons to handle and interact with and activities that can be brought along on our trails.
This event is free to the public and open to everyone; registration is encouraged but not required!
This is a come-and-go-as-you-wish event, stay as little or as long as you'd like.
Mass Audubon staff and educators will be on site to provide an opportunity to learn more about the local wildlife, sanctuary history, and answer any of your nature questions.
This program is supported in part by a grant from the Attleboro Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency.

Meet in the Ottmar Nature Center at Oak Knoll Wildlife Sanctuary.
Our February Woodward Discovery Day is in partnership with the Attleboro Public Library's Passport Program.
From 11:00 am - 11:30 am there will be a storytime "The Bear Snores On." Join us to receive your passport stamp!
Directions to Oak Knoll Wildlife Sanctuary

Take Rt I-95 to exit 7 (Rt 152). Turn left off the exit ramp and take a right onto Rt 152 south. After 1 mile, turn left onto Holden St. Take the first right onto Bank St. At the traffic light, turn left onto Park Street. Follow Park Street for 2.6 miles, road will curve right. Pass the LaSalette Shrine and Handy Street on the right. The sanctuary is located on the right side. Look for a white colonial house and Mass Audubon signs.
By public transportation: Public Transportation is available through Greater Attleboro Taunton Regional Transit Authority (GATRA)/Route 15 - Providence/Stoughton.
