Woodward Discovery Days: Hibernation

Every month, Woodward Discovery Days opens the Oak Knoll Nature Center to everyone, free of charge, for a morning of wildlife discovery. This month's theme: hibernation!

Find out what really happens to the animals that seem to vanish for the winter, from the deep sleepers tucked in beneath logs and leaf litter to the ones that drop into a lighter sleep and stir on warm days. Visit exhibits and activity stations at your own pace, then step outside for an optional walk to look for the sheltered places wildlife picks to wait out the season.
