Woodward Discovery Days: Animals in Winter

Woodward Discovery Days opens the Oak Knoll Nature Center to everyone, free of charge, for a morning of wildlife discoveries. This month's theme: animals in winter!

Discover how wildlife survives through one of the most challenging seasons of the year, from the hibernators tucking in beneath logs and leaf litter to the year-round residents that brave the cold through adaptation, behavior, and strategy. Visit exhibits and activity stations at your own pace, then step outside for an optional trail walk in search of tracks, signs, and evidence of winter wildlife at Oak Knoll.

Come and go as you like, spending as little or as much time as you choose across the exhibits, activity stations, and the trail.
