Description
Autumn in Massachusetts is filled with seasonal wonders and mysteries unique to our area. Why do so many leaves change color and fall to the ground? What animals are rustling through those crunchy, fallen leaves, and what are they doing? Where have the noisy birds, crickets, and bees gone? Why and how do some animals migrate or hibernate, while others stay here?
This program will introduce the seasonal dynamics of the nature of Massachusetts in fall, including the flora and fauna that experience it, and participants will start off with a brief presentation inside the Visitors Center followed by a hike along the trails. Special thanks to Friends of Wompatuck for sponsoring this program.
