The Nest Grand Opening

Description

Join us for a fun day to celebrate the grand opening of The Nest at the Museum of American Bird Art Education Center. This free program is a wonderful experience for all ages.

The Nest is a community gathering space where people create art inspired by nature and can discover hidden talents and new interests. At The Nest, you can attend a wide range of nature-infused art workshops and forge a deeper connection to nature while exploring the 125-acre wildlife sanctuary.

Come and participate in a variety of creative activities!

  • Make beautiful nature-inspired monotype prints using different inks, materials, and custom stencils, including owls, foxes, and butterflies
  • Make nature-inspired buttons to wear and take home
  • Create your own nature journal to use as you explore a guided trail at the MABA Education Center and Wildlife Sanctuary
  • Learn fun, easy, and engaging ways to draw
  • Learn about upcoming programs, see the wonderful maker space tools, like the laser cutter and cutting machines
