Nature in Your Neighborhood: All About Birds - Groveland

Description

We are pleased to once again offer this series of free birdwatching walks made possible by the Massachusetts Cultural Council and the local cultural councils of the participating towns, as noted below.

Participants will learn about bird migration, breeding behavior, and field identification. Observe birds in their colorful spring plumage and learn how to identify birds by their songs.

The walks are free, but registration is required since each walk is limited to 20 participants.

  • May 19, Eastern Point Wildlife Sanctuary, Gloucester.
  • May 21, Daniel Boone Park, Ipswich.
  • May 22, Marblehead Neck Wildlife Sanctuary.
  • May 26, Woodsom Farm Park, Amesbury.
  • May 28, Parker River National Wildlife Refuge, Newburyport.
  • June 4, Choate Farm Conservation Area, Danvers.

Instructions

The walk is free, but advance registration is required since space is limited. Bring binoculars if you have them (we'll also bring extra pairs). Wear clothing and footwear appropriate for the weather and uneven, muddy trails.
