Ipswich River Day Camp: Further Canoe Adventures
Description
Campers will paddle less-visited sections of the Ipswich River each day. We'll see frogs, turtles, and other animals that inhabit the river, its shores, and its islands. Campers will act as scientists and test the water quality of the Ipswich River. They will also learn about our local watershed and ways to protect it.
An overnight campout on Perkins Island will be the highlight of the week as we pitch tents, enjoy s'mores around a campfire, and observe nocturnal animals such as owls, bats, and beavers.
The Canoe Program has a camper to counselor ratio of 6:1
