Description
Explore a one-of-a-kind urban habitat that attracts a remarkable variety of resident birds and seasonal visitors. With a BNC naturalist leading the way, spot and identify birds by their field marks, songs, and behaviors. These guided walks are a great fit for birders of all experience levels, with flat, easy-to-navigate trails.
Target birds include: Common Raven, Dowitchers & Yellowlegs, Glossy Ibis, Green Heron, Osprey, Oystercatcher, Peregrine Falcon, Semi-Palmated Plovers & Sandpipers, Saltmarsh Sparrow, Snowy Egret, Tree, Rough-Winged, & Barn Swallows, Little Blue Heron, Virginia Rail, Willet, & Yellow-crowned Night-Heron.
This program is free thanks to the Brookline Bird Club.

We will park at the RPM Fitness lot, 120 Banks St. Winthrop. There is a sign in the far back of the lot that says Belle Isle Marsh Marine Ecology Park, park close to that end. Please don't park in a spot that says for gym only. Bring or apply at home sunblock and bug spray. Bring a water bottle.
