Description
Discover the resident birds of a one-of-a-kind urban habitat-an oasis beloved by a wide variety of feathered visitors.
With the guidance of a BNC naturalist, you'll learn to spot and identify birds using field marks, songs, and behaviors. Whether you're a seasoned birder or just getting started, these guided walks offer something for everyone.
The trails are mostly flat and easy to navigate, but there is a gentle 0.5-mile hill.
Target birds include Blue & Black-Crowned Night Herons; Bobolink; Merlin; Orchard Oriole; Pileated Woodpecker; Red-Shouldered Hawk; Rose-Breasted Grosbeak; Sora; Scarlet Tanager; Snowy Egret; Swamp Sparrow; Ruby-Throated Hummingbird; Tree, Rough-Winged, & Barn Swallows; Virginia Rail; or Yellow-Throated Vireo.
This program is free thanks to the Brookline Bird Club.
