Winter Bird Walk at Historic Brook Farm

Description

Walk the same trails that Transcendentalist thinkers and Civil War soldiers once traveled, in the quiet of winter. Brook Farm, a National Historic Site in West Roxbury, offers approximately 2 miles of mostly flat, wooded terrain that draws a diverse mix of birds through the cold months.

Guided by a naturalist, hike through the woods and wetlands in search of migrating ducks, White-throated Sparrows, Fox Sparrows, and other birds that have migrated down from colder northern climates. Don't miss this unique walk where the natural and human histories of the land come together.

This program is offered free for members and nonmembers thanks to the Brook Farm Historic Group.
