Meet the Beekeeper

Description

Meet the beekeepers of the Boston Nature Center in this behind-the-scenes look at our buzziest pollinators.

You'll have the opportunity to observe real beehives up close in all their summer glory. See how a beehive works, including honeycombs, raw honey, baby bees, and if you're lucky, spot the elusive queen. Sport a real beekeeping jacket and veil and learn about various beekeeper techniques from the experts.

Whether you're a novice, aspiring, or experienced beekeeper (a ‘;beek'), Boston Area Beekeepers Association's open hives give everyone a chance to learn and ask questions about honey bees, and to share stories and experiences.

Drop in to immerse yourself in the fascinating world of bees.
