Arcadia Nature Camp: Great Blue Herons

Description

Explore the nooks and crannies of Arcadia as you search for plants and animals and investigate the unique adaptations that help them thrive. Explore in and around the vernal pools, monitor the quality of the water and identify the animals you catch. Explore the clay pits, search for animal tracks, and scan the skies to learn about the birds of the area. Hop in canoes and paddle the calm waterways of Arcadia to view this place from a unique perspective. Spend a day hiking on nearby Mount Tom State Reservation where you will compare and contrast the landscape to Arcadia.

*Please note that families will need to drop off and pick up their campers at Mount Tom for the day trip.

*Canoeing will not be offered for the June 24-28 session.

Sliding Scale Update

Due to overwhelming need for financial assistance, we have closed registration for Tiers 1-3. Tier 4 Registration is still available by phone only. If you are unable to pay the Tiers 4 or 5 tuition for camp, we encourage you to add your name to our waitlist. As we continue to secure funding across the state, we will open more spaces at lower tiers where possible. Sign up here - https://forms.office.com/r/xE8VVFhwci
