Nature Camps
Work at Camp
This summer, be the reason a child falls in love with nature.
From the beaches of Cape Cod to the forests of Western Massachusetts, Mass Audubon camps have been creating opportunities for nature exploration and connection for staff, campers and families for generations. When you work at camp, you join that legacy.
Why Join Mass Audubon Camp Staff?
- Work in Nature: There’s no greater office than the great outdoors! Spend your summer outside, surrounded by forests, fields, natural bodies of water and fresh air. Mass Audubon runs 16 day camps throughout Massachusetts, plus Wildwood Overnight Camp in Rindge, New Hampshire. Many sites include off-site, expedition-based programming.
- Resume-Building Skills: From developing and delivering creative, nature-based programming to managing groups and resolving challenges, you'll develop real-world leadership, communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills that all employers value.
- A Strong Professional Network: Work alongside passionate educators, naturalists, and mentors who can support your growth and open doors to future opportunities in environmental fields and beyond.
- Direct Impact: Help campers connect with nature, build confidence, and discover their place in the world—leave a lasting impact on their lives and yours. Plus, you’ll be part of a mission-driven organization that’s shaping the next generation of environmental stewards and changemakers.
- Unforgettable Memories: From silly songs to spontaneous adventures, you'll create moments of joy, laughter, and connection that stay with you forever.
- On-Site Housing: Available at Wildwood Overnight Camp and Wellfleet Bay Nature Camp, staff housing supports staff living costs, creates community and makes your commute a breeze!
To get to be outside with kids every day and to see their love for the natural world develop was a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and I'll always treasure the fun memories I got to make during my time there!
