With over 1,500 miles of coastline, Massachusetts is home to many feeding, migrating, and spawning marine animals. Unfortunately, many of these them can also become imperiled and stranded along our shores. Familiarize yourself with the types of animals that commonly strand along Massachusetts coasts, including dolphins, seals, sharks, ocean sunfish, and the critically endangered Kemp's Ridley Sea Turtle. Learn why these animals strand, what threats they face, and what beachgoers like you can do to help!
