Bee populations are in decline due to a number of factors, including pesticide use, habitat loss, and climate change. However, beekeeping at home can support their health and vital work in pollination and food production. This five-session series provides an overview of backyard beekeeping and will cover everything you need to get started in this fascinating and productive hobby. Topics include a brief history of beekeeping, bee biology, basics of beekeeping, locating hives, acquiring bees, and beekeeping resources.
