What do swamps, vernal pools, bogs, and marshes all have in common? To begin with, they're all wetlands, meaning that they have saturated soils for all or part of the year. If you look a little closer, you'll see that each also support a robust population of plants and wildlife. Dig even deeper and you'll see that we can thank wetlands for flood prevention, water filtration, and more. Learn how you can protect these delicate habitats, as well as where to explore some of Massachusetts' most notable wetlands in this online series.

Interested in learning more? Join us for one, some, or all: this program is one part of a 4-session online Hometown Habitats Series. By registering for the series before January 11, 2023, you'll get access to all 4 sessions for the price of 3. You do not need to register for other sessions, or the full series, to enjoy this one.
