Did you know that nearly 40% of all insects are beetles? These diverse groups are found on almost every continent and can have surprising life stories. Learn the difference between beetles and bugs, unique traits that define each group, their ecology in New England, and observation tips and tools. We'll learn about the fireflies that delight us, the ladybugs that benefit us, and the Emerald Ash Borers that threaten us. This online presentation will cover ways you can get involved through conservation, community science, and land management.
