More than 25 species of ducks, geese, loons, and grebes can be found in New England. Spring migration is just around the corner and is the ideal time to learn and appreciate their exquisite colors and interesting mating behaviors. In this online program, we will introduce you to our area waterbirds, examine similarities and differences, and show you the best places to find them. You will learn how useful patterns of contrast can be used for identifying both individual birds and distant flocks.
