Chickadees are curious, energetic, and small but brave. In this series for homeschool families with younger children (ages 4&5 with an adult tagging along), explore nature on the sanctuary, do fun hands-on activities, and learn about the wildlife and wild places that are all around us.
This season is all about wild homes, from tiny cocoons to huge beaver lodges. We will read stories, see real animal homes up close, explore the sanctuary in search of animal builders, and then try out some nature constructions of our own. During the last class, we will celebrate by making gnome and fairy homes to practice the new things we learned about animal homes and as a thank you to nature for being our classroom.
