Hike to the summit of Mount Holyoke with special focus on the bird song surrounding us. This is a particularly rich birding location as species change with both elevation and habitat. Possible species include Cerulean, Worm-eating, Magnolia, and Black-throated Blue warblers, Louisiana Waterthrush, Yellow-throated Vireo, Winter Wren, Indigo Bunting, and more.
Open to ages 14 and above with an adult
1. Meet at Drumlin Farm, where we will travel together in Mass Audubon vans. All participants riding in a Mass Audubon vehicle must be masked and present their vaccination record - actual or photo. Masks are optional when not in vans.
2. We'll stop for lunch, not included in fee, at a local restaurant. Participants are also invited to bring their own lunch.
3. Participants are encouraged to bring binoculars, sun protection, good walking shoes, water, and snacks. Trip leaders will be bringing scopes.
