As winter approaches, birds begin to turn toward warmer climates and some even migrate to Massachusetts to spend the winter! Hawks, warblers, and other migratory birds refuel, rest, and gather in flocks to join the journey. Fall is an especially exciting time to observe and learn about birds as they pass through our Metro South Region. Through guided walks, you will learn to identify migrant bird species by sight and sound. You will also learn about different habitats used by migratory species.
