Make sure you set your alarm clock Saturday night for this early morning program on Sunday. We'll search the winter woods for signs of great horned owls, screech owls, saw-whets and other native owls. Winter is when owls are most visible and audible as they search for mates, set up territories and claim nests. After the walk, we'll warm up with bagels and coffee back at the museum and meet some of Trailside's resident owls.
This program features a moderate amount of hiking in the Blue Hills Reservation. Please dress for the weather and wear suitable footgear. Due to the early hour and darkness, this program is suitable for adults only. This event will be cancelled and rescheduled due to bad weather. Registered participants will be notified Saturday evening by 6:00 pm in case of cancellation. Storm date for this program is Sunday, Feb. 23rd.
