With the spring migration season behind us, summer is a quieter time in the woods. There's a lot going on though as birds are tending their young, finding food, and communicating among themselves. This three-part series will introduce you to three different conservation areas in the Valley, obeserving birds unique to each habitat and learning about the organizations that manage these lands.
Locations and directions will be provided for Saturday morning walks at Rattlesnake Gutter in Leverett, Fitzgerald Lake in Florence, and the Quabbin Reservoir in Belchertown.
Walks will be moderate in length and terrain. Registration for individual dates is not available, you must sign up for the series. No refunds are available for missed classes.
