2025 Year in Review: Mass Audubon on Martha’s Vineyard & Nantucket

January 29, 2026

2025 was another year of deep roots and soaring impact at Mass Audubon’s sanctuaries on Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket.

Through scenic hiking trails, hands-on internships and stewardships, and engaging events, we are proud to serve our Island communities while protecting the nature of Massachusetts.

On Nantucket, Sesachacha Heathlands features two of the Commonwealth’s rarest habitats—coastal heathland and sandplain grassland—while Lost Farm is home to the Island’s largest pitch pine forest. On Martha’s Vineyard, Felix Neck offers year-round education opportunities amongst its remarkable diversity of landscapes, from woodlands and meadows to ponds, salt marshes, and stunning shorelines.

We invite you to read the full Islands Year in Review 2025 to celebrate everything we accomplished together this year.
