September 5-October 30, 2025
Arcadia Wildlife Sanctuary in Easthampton will feature the distinctive works of artist Nancy Haver in the Waterways of Western Mass exhibition.
About the Exhibition
Waterways of Western Mass showcases Haver’s stunning water-inspired art, highlighting the distinctive textures one can create through various printmaking techniques. The exhibition includes drypoint engravings printed from pieces of beverage containers whose thin aluminum coating works well as an intaglio printing plate, as well as woodcuts from birch plywood. Each piece reflects Haver’s deep enthusiasm for nature and the outdoors.
This exhibition, with landscapes from Amethyst Brook to Chesterfield Gorge and beyond, rises to the challenge of capturing something as mercurial as water. Visitors will be inspired by Haver’s representation of the ever-changing and cycling key to life.
About the Artist
Haver, a long-time resident of Western Massachusetts, is member of Zea Mays Printmaking, the Boston Printmakers, and the Society of American Graphic Artists.
Exhibit Hours
The Arcadia Visitor Center is open 9:00 am to 3:00 pm Sunday-Friday and Saturdays 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. This exhibit is free with sanctuary admission and free for Mass Audubon Members.
