Chestnut-sided Warbler
Dendroica pensylvanica

Like a number of other early-successional breeding species, overall population declines of Chestnut-sided Warblers seem to conflict with the birds' stable distribution figures. The Breeding Bird Atlas data tells us that Chestnut-sided Warblers are still widespread (they breed in many different places across the state), but the actual number of birds has dropped significantly according to the Breeding Bird Survey.
