Alder Flycatcher
Empidonax alnorum

Formerly rare, but now merely uncommon and somewhat restricted in Massachusetts, the Alder Flycatcher has benefited from the return of beavers to the western part of the state. Old beaver ponds afford perfect habitat for this somewhat northern species.
