Update on Bringing Nature to the Ballot Campaign

November 20, 2025

Big news! Along with our partners in the Nature for Massachusetts Coalition, we have reached our goal of collecting signatures from 85,000 registered voters by the November 19 deadline to get the Protect Water and Nature ballot initiative on the ballot in 2026.

A Rally to Celebrate

To celebrate this important milestone and witness the delivery of those 85,000 signatures to the Secretary of State, members of the Coalition and volunteers will hike from Charlestown to the steps of the State House on Beacon Hill for a rally on Monday, December 1. All are welcome to join in this effort and show their support for the ballot measure.

What’s Next

While the ballot initiative is moving forward, the state legislature can still pass the Nature for All bill. Let your legislator know how important it is to pass this bill. If it doesn’t, we will begin the final round of signature collections in early May.
