Scaling Up Our Impact to Protect, Restore, and Inspire

November 21, 2025

In order to meet the urgent needs of our local communities and habitats, Mass Audubon is scaling up our work across the state to protect and restore more land, care for our wildlife, and provide access to nature for everyone.

Scaling Up to Protect and Restore More Land

Mass Audubon, in coordination with key partners, is making incredible progress toward meeting its ambitious land protection and restoration goals outlined in the Action Agenda and 30x30 priorities.

Mass Audubon is partnering with land trusts like Kestrel Land Trust and partners including Norcross Wildlife Foundation to facilitate landscape scale protection and restoration and leveraging the 30x30 Catalyst Fund to increase our pace.

Scaling up to Protect Birds Across the Flyway

Mass Audubon’s commitment to protecting and celebrating birds has never wavered. In fact, we’re scaling up our efforts along the Atlantic Flyway.

In Massachusetts, our Coastal Waterbird Program has helped recover endangered Piping Plovers in the state. And Mass Audubon is working with partners in Brazil to study Roseate Terns to understand the threats they face beyond our borders.

Scaling up Access to Nature at Our Wildlife Sanctuaries

Mass Audubon is dedicated to creating spaces where everyone feels welcome and that they belong.

We are building new accessible All Persons Trails across the state so that folks with vision and mobility challenges can experience the joys of nature. We’re creating opportunities for children across the state to take part in our nature camps through affordable pricing options. And we’re opening more spaces to explore through our Nature in the City program.

Help Accomplish Even More

Your support can help Mass Audubon have an even greater impact on the nature of Massachusetts today and far into the future.
