6 Reasons to Vote Yes on 6

October 08, 2026

After months of organizing, signature gathering, and coalition building, the Nature for All Fund will officially be Question 6 on the November 2026 statewide ballot.

The proposal would create a permanent Nature for All Fund by dedicating revenue from the existing sales tax on sporting goods and related outdoor recreation purchases. The fund could provide as much as $100 million each year for land conservation, clean water protection, parks, trails, wildlife habitat, climate resilience, and environmental justice projects—without raising taxes.

Mass Audubon's supporters and volunteers were crucial in getting the Nature for All fund on the ballot! Now, we're calling on you again to join us in saying YES to Question 6 this fall. Here's why you will want to vote yes:

1. You want everyone in Massachusetts to have access to safe, clean drinking water.

2. You value the diversity of habitats across the state and want to make sure the animals and plants you care about continue to thrive.

3. You enjoy spending time outdoors hiking, lounging in parks, or being on the water and want to create more public greenspaces that everyone can access.

4. You care about local farms and agriculture and want to protect them so they are here for generations to come.

5. You want to see the state meet its commitment to land protection and climate goals without having to raise taxes.

6. You love nature and want a future where people and wildlife can both thrive.
