Statement Regarding Inadvertent Misuse of a Photo
Mass Audubon takes very seriously our responsibility to receive permission for and appropriately credit photographs and videos in all communications.
We were thus disturbed to learn that we had received inaccurate information when seeking permission and credit for a photograph featured in our Fall 2021 Explore newsletter. We have now learned that the photo of a family of bears purportedly at the recently protected Bear Hole landscape in the Connecticut River Valley was taken elsewhere and was taken by Sally Naser of CR Wildlife Cams, who was unaware of its use in our newsletter.
We sincerely apologize to Sally Naser for this inadvertent misuse of her work and we are taking steps to ensure that something like this does not happen again.
