Directions to Lost Farm Wildlife Sanctuary

Cross the Sagamore Bridge onto Cape Cod. Take Rt 6 east toward Hyannis. At exit 6, take Rt 132 south to Hyannis and follow signs for the Nantucket boats (Steamship Authority or Hyline).

From the Steamship Authority Wharf on Nantucket: From the parking lot follow Broad Street and turn left onto South Water Street. Continue across Main Street onto Washington Street. Turn right onto Francis Street, left onto Union Street, and then left onto Orange Street. At the rotary, take Sparks Avenue. Stay on Sparks Avenue through the next rotary and after 0.4 miles take a left on Surfside Road, and then an immediate right onto Vesper Lane. Take a left onto Hummock Pond Road and follow for nearly 1.5 miles. Less than 1000 feet past 167Raw, look for a gravel parking lot on the right. This parking lot is owned and maintained by the Nantucket Land Bank and used by the public to access the Land Bank’s Gardner Farm property as well as Mass Audubon’s adjoining Lost Farm property which share a trail system. Follow trail signs to access Lost Farm.

From the Straight Wharf on Nantucket: Follow Main Street for 0.25 miles and take a left onto Washington Street. Follow directions above "From the Steamship Authority Wharf."
